I'd definitely recommend Arthurs of Wrexham to friends and family because they always let you know what the job is and give a price

I have my car done in Newtown not Wrexham. Staff are always nice, polite and helpful!

My experience at Arthurs of Wrexham was memorable because everyone was very professional

Following a previous survey from Arthur's where I scored them an 8 out of ten I received a phone call from them asking me to bring the vehicle back in for further assessment. This request by Arthur's actually cost me £120!! During this visit the mechanic noticed an issue with the auxiliary belt and advised that I did not drive the vehicle. A member of the service team confirmed that they could get the part that afternoon and fit it by 11am the following morning (Friday). I agreed that would be acceptable and left the vehicle with them ( I needed the car by 11am to go on holiday which they were aware of)
As I had not heard from Arthur's by 10 am on the Friday morning I decided to phone them. I was told the service team were busy but they would phone me back when free. 3/4 hour later I still had not been contacted so I phoned again. I spoke to service who then informed me that the vehicle would not be ready until 5pm. Too late for me to go on holiday. I was pretty annoyed after they promised to get it back by 11am. I told them that I would not be able to collect the vehicle until mid week and left it at that.
On Monday morning I received a call from the service team asking whether I had been contacted earlier that morning. I said no. He then informed me that the belt tensioner also needed replacing at a cost of £200+. I declined. However, I did say that I'd be in on Wednesday/ Thursday to collect the car.
I returned to Arthur's on Wednesday just after lunch. I paid for the work and was then taken to the car by a member of the service team. My vehicle had been parked so close to the adjacent van that it was impossible to access via the drivers door. I got in via the passengers door. The dirty plastic seat cover was still in place together with the dirty paper floor covering. The service team member left. Then on starting the vehicle an engine warning symbol appeared on the dash together with the service warning. I switched the engine off and went back into reception to inform them of the issue. I was fuming at this stage. I returned to my Peugeot and lifted the bonnet only to discover the auxiliary belt had not been fitted. I then had to wait another hour and a quarter for the belt to be fitted.
When I got home I lifted the bonnet and discovered the overflow/vent pipe on the coolant reservoir had been left off and the reservoir was completely empty. I have had to purchase more coolant to refill the reservoir. Incompetence springs to mind. Overall very dissatisfied.

Arthurs of Wrexham were great because I’ve bought my last four cars there and always use there team for mot, servicing and any repairs needed. Always been very happy.
